None of the features are going in the bin, so you can still sync music to your iPod. Or, indeed, your iPhone and iPad. You'll still be able to buy music and movies outright - or rent movies. On Windows , things aren't changing. At least for the moment. However, this will surely change eventually - it may just be re-skinned to align with the Apple Music app on macOS. You'll still be able to buy, give and redeem iTunes gift vouchers. If you still sync media to your device using a cable, you will still be able to do so in the new apps. When you connect a device to your Mac, it will also now show up in the sidebar of Finder, enabling you to backup, update or restore your device. Of course, a lot of people back up their iOS devices using iCloud, but this isn't an option with older devices.

- You'll still be able to do everything you did before

To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I recently bought an album without having subscription to Apple Music. I was able to listen to it for a few days, but then it disappeared. Also I am not able to listen to other previously downloaded songs and albums when I was on a trial period. I can only listen to albums downloaded a long time ago. What is Apple's policy on this? Can I buy and listen to music now and then but without subscribing?

If you subscribe to Apple Music, use the Apple Music app to download songs or add them to your library. If you want to buy a song or you don't subscribe to Apple Music, use the iTunes Store. If you don't subscribe to Apple Music or want to buy a song, purchase music from the iTunes Store. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Do I have to join Apple Store to buy and download songs I want to buy? I can't figure out how to get to iTunes Store without joining Apple Music and paying a fee since I have done the update? Is this right? Please tell me this isn't the case!!
